Dr. Gary Adler awarded research grant from the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion
Gary Adler, along with two sociologists in other regions, was awarded a research grant from the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion (SSSR) for a new project, "The Frontline of Church-State Interaction: Managing Local Relations in a New Era." The grant will fund interviews with religious leaders in five counties, which differ by population, religious diversity, and region, to understand their interactions with government officials and programs.
