Recent graduate Wade Jacobsen receives Gene Carte Student Paper award

Congratulations to recent graduate Wade Jacobsen (2017, Assistant Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice, University of Maryland).  The American Society of Criminology (ASC) has just announced that Wade is winner of the 2017 Gene Carte Student Paper award, which recognizes outstanding scholarly work by students.  This award is for a paper titled "Suspended Networks: School Punishment and the Mechanism of Interpersonal Exclusion.”  Wade will be honored at the annual meeting in Philadelphia this November by the President of ASC.
