Academic & Professional Interests:

I am a sociologist with a background in media and cultural studies. My current research interests revolve around rock music and identity and the psychology of music. I teach general sociology courses like Introductory Sociology, Research Methods and Social Problems and more specialized classes on popular culture, youth subcultures, and music.  I am also co-founder of Chorus: Life & Media, a personal music programming service (lifeandmedia.com).
