Professional Bio
Calvin Pyatt is a graduate student and dual-title Ph.D. candidate of Sociology and Demography at Pennsylvania State University. His work broadly focuses on how social and structural phenomena influence individual health outcomes. Currently, his work is focused on the role highly rigorous academic environments play in influencing suicidality for adolescents in the United States. Additionally, Calvin’s research focuses on other health phenomena including sociodemographic characteristics and associations with individual health lifestyles along with an interest in how firearms shape both firearm ownership and firearm policy attitudes.
