Professional Bio

John Zangari is the Administrative and Facilities Assistant in Penn State’s Department of Sociology and Criminology at University Park. In his current role, he supports student success by helping students navigate internship opportunities and prepare for the day-to-day realities of professional placement experiences within criminal justice–adjacent settings.​

Working closely with students, John helps connect academic interests to real-world experiences and encourages practical, career-building steps—such as clarifying goals, identifying strong-fit organizations, and approaching internships with a learning mindset.
