Patrice Kerr Receives Outstanding Alumni Award at the Department of Sociology & Crime, Law and Justice award ceremony held Monday, February 25 at the Nittany Lion Inn. Pat was recognized for her success and influence as a leader, for significant career achievements, and for being an outstanding role model for current students.
Patrice Kerr is an experienced business analytics professional with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. She was employed at Johnson & Johnson for 22 years, beginning her career as an analyst and progressing to the role of Senior Director at Janssen Pharmaceuticals. She was also a member of the Janssen Board. Her career encompassed a broad range of analytics responsibilities, which included product forecasting, primary market research, sales force sizing and reimbursement. Her analyses were instrumental in the execution of successful product launches as well as the evaluation and acquisition of new business opportunities. Her role also included the development and mentoring of both junior and senior staff members. While at Johnson & Johnson, she was the recipient of several leadership awards as well as an Optimus award for consistent
outstanding performance. After retiring from Johnson & Johnson, Pat became Vice President of Business
Analytics for Pharm Force, heading all business analytic functions across multiple units. She recently retired from this position in order to devote more time to mentoring and volunteer activities, including serving as a mentor in the College of the Liberal Arts Alumni- Student Mentor Program at Penn State.
Pat earned a bachelor of arts degree in Sociology from Penn State in 1973. After attending graduate school at The Ohio State University (where she met her husband), she returned to Penn State and received a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning in 1976. A native of Lancaster, Pat and her husband Ray currently reside in North Wales, Pennsylvania.
