Brianna Remster (2013)
Brianna is an associate professor of Sociology and Criminology at Villanova University. Her current research focuses on front and back end inequalities in the criminal justice system. In one project she is examining how ascribed characteristics such as race, age, and gender produce fundamentally different experiences with police, particularly for police use of force. She is also continuing to study how formal criminal justice contact reproduces inequality for individuals, families, and communities.
