Survey Statistician with the Fertility and Family Statistics Branch of the Social, Economic, and Housing Statistics Division of the U.S. Census Bureau
Chanell's job will focus less on research analysis, and will primarily focus on the production of data. She will be working with data-sets such as the Current Population Survey (CPS) and the American Community Survey (ACS). Her responsibilities will include creating new questions regarding family and fertility as needed, testing electronic new instruments to verify that they work as they should, creating edit specifications to tell programmers how to process the data, and reviewing data after it's processed in order to verify that the edits worked and the estimates are acceptable. Her job will also entail research analysis via writing conference papers, working on on-going papers, and reports as needed.
