Iris is an Assistant Professor in the UB Department of Sociology. Her main research interests include life course criminology, social change, comparative study, age-period-cohort analysis, social responses to crime, and sentencing. Her recent research applies age-period-cohort modeling techniques to examine the impact of cultural context and social change on age-specific crime patterns in different countries and population subgroups.
