Abdul Basit Adeel co-authored a paper with Dr. Andrei Zhirnov (University of Exeter) titled, "The Informal Economy and the Reach of Policy Interventions: Evidence from the COVID-19 Lockdown in India" and it has been accepted for publication in the Review of Development Economics.
Ibrahim “Enes” Atac has been selected to receive a Student Travel Award ($850) for the upcoming Society for the Scientific Study of Religion (SSSR) Conference in October.
Sam Richards was recently appointed to a Distinguished Professor position at Konkuk University in Seoul, South Korea. He has been given the title of Kimchi Ambassador for the Republic of Korea. He said feel free to call him "Ambassador Richards" or, better yet, "Distinguished Ambassador Richards."
Joseph Risi and Dr. Corina Graif published an article in Criminology entitled “Community Representation and Policing: Effects on Black Civilians.”
Jiahui Xu won the 2024 Mathematical Sociology’s Outstanding Article Publication Award for her paper. She was recently elected as the Student Representative in American Sociological Association’s methodology section.
