Professional Bio
Kayla M. Kemp is a PhD candidate at Penn State, as well as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology at Union University. She specializes in the intersection of religion, race, and education, especially in the Southern United States. Her dissertation research has been funded by an American Sociological Association Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant (DDRIG), Penn State's McCourtney Institute of Democracy, and the Penn State College of Liberal Arts. She has also worked as a Research Associate for the Association of Religion Data Archives and a Short-Term Consultant for the World Bank.
